Toothpaste tablets are a solid, pre-portioned format of toothpaste. A tablet is used as part of a brushing routine according to the directions supplied with the product.

DOTS is being developed as a fluoride-free toothpaste tablet. The final formulation and label will confirm the complete ingredient declaration and product directions before sale.

Nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HAp) is a planned active ingredient. The final grade, concentration and specifications will be disclosed once the commercial formulation is approved.

Published clinical and in-situ research on hydroxyapatite-containing oral-care products is growing. Evidence varies by formulation, concentration, population and study design. Read our science notes for references and limitations.

We are not making a finished-product cavity-prevention claim. Research on an ingredient or another brand’s formulation does not establish the efficacy of DOTS. Fluoride toothpaste has a substantial evidence base for caries prevention; people with elevated caries risk should discuss oral-care choices with their dental professional.

Toothpaste tablets are commonly designed to be chewed or crushed before brushing, but the exact DOTS directions—including amount, rinsing and age guidance—will be printed on the approved pack. Follow those instructions.

We will publish material composition and verified packaging details when finalised. A tablet format does not automatically mean a lower carbon footprint. We are evaluating packaging and life-cycle impacts before making quantified environmental claims. See our packaging research.
